FAA Drone Registration Requirements
FAA now requires every drone weighing over .55 lbs and up to 55 lbs. to register each of the drones purchased. The registration process is fairly simple and involves filling out an online form. Once registered, you should receive an email with the registration number.
Each drone you own and fly will need to display your registration number that is marked, legible, and readily visible. Additionally, you will be required to have your registration certificate in your possession at all times while operating your drone.
